Tamil Nadu Road Development Company (TNRDC)  has incorporated a Special Purpose Vehicle titled IT Expressway Ltd (ITEL) as a wholly owned subsidiary, for domiciling the IT Corridor Project. ITEL being an investment vehicle has engaged TNRDC as its Managing Associate and is responsible for project implementation and operations and maintenance of IT Corridor.  In Phase-I, the 20.1 km between Madhya Kailash Temple Junction to Siruseri is being widened to dual three-lane carriageway with median, service road, non-motorised vehicle (NMV) lane, pedestrian footpath and planter strip.IT Expressway is a world-class expressway in Chennai connecting Madhya Kailash and Siruseri. Road users have to pay toll for using this facility,the users have 2 convenient options for payment of toll, namely monthly smart card and cash. The monthly card entitles the user unlimited passage for a given month( eg 21 Feb2009 to 20 March 2009). A monthly cardholder has to stop and display the smart card at the card reader installed at the lane. Regular / frequent users can opt for monthly card for convenience and to reduce waiting time at the plaza during rush hours.

To Buy / Recharge Smart Cards Online

  1. To Buy & Recharge your Toll Card Visit to www.tnrdc.com
  2. Click on Tolling, view the toll rates and click on Buy now.
  3. Login with registered Username & password (If new user, please register yourself)
  • To buy new monthly pass, click on Personalization > Vehicle Maintenance> Add New Vehicle and enter the required details then “Submit”
    • OR
  • To recharge existing monthly pass, click on Personalization > Vehicle Maintenance> Add Existing Vehicle and enter the required details. Your vehicle will be added, then go back to main menu, click recharge and select the vehicle and no. of months in recharge option. The recharge details will appear on screen, after checking details click “recharge”
  1. After entering the details, select “ItzCash” as Payment Gateway option and continue
  2. Enter ItzCash Card details. Click on continue and confirm your order
  3. Note down your transaction ID or take a printout of the confirmation page for customer reference.
  4. You will get a confirmation receipt for future reference (Note down your transaction ID or take a printout of the confirmation page or payment receipt for future reference)
  • Once customer applies a new smart card, ITEL will courier the same to the customer in 24 hours along with customer ID for future reference
  • Customer can recharge their monthly smart cards up to period of  3 months
