Mumbai December 5, 2008: IRCTC has entered into an alliance with ItzCash to facilitate rail bookings for its huge customer base. The purpose of this tie up is to bring convenience to long distance travelers across the country. This premium service can be availed by dialing 139 which is a 24x7service available 365days.  However, the ticket booking can be done between 0500 hrs to 2330 hrs.

Dial 139 will now serve as a secured and convenient mode of booking tickets. Consumers can dial this number from landline or cellular phone, thus eliminating the need of carrying cash for booking tickets and avoiding long queues at the booking counters. The alliance also provides an opportunity to the masses not having access to internet to buy railway tickets. With this service, consumers can now have the freedom of not paying any extra money to the agent.

Dial 139 provides absolute security in transaction and ensures that the money is credited back on the ItzCash Card on cancellation of tickets. For delivery of tickets, the consumer can opt for an i-ticket wherein the ticket is delivered at home or an e-ticket.
